  1. WOW!! They are beautiful, THANK YOU so much for reposting your photos of this wonderful Cathedral, I won’t even ask how you get so much detail yet such a wide field of view, as I probably couldn’t do it with my camera or phones!
    Whoever commissioned that Bishops Throne didn’t believe in a vow of poverty then, it’s so unassuming they had to strap it down to the stone dias!
    I seem to remember that the Rose window was something to do with the Tudors, or their ancestors, but I’m not sure, (My book on Rose windows only shows the North rose and the Choir rose and not this big one.) Rose windows are usually called this because the outer stone edge looks like the edge os the petals, but this one has the outer edge of a Tudor rose within the Glass.
    It’s ok, you can wake up now!
    I would have loved to have wired those lights up hanging from those Vaulted ceilings, no hydraulic platform lifts when they were first done!

    1. Glad to oblige … I know nothing apart from the fact that the catholics spent alot on their churches/cathedrals while the commoners went hungry.
