I caught Teddy first thing enjoying the morning sun on the pontoon.
Here’s our mooring in Lumes.
A smooth day cruising today with only a couple of locks to contend with. I was surprised to see a well known parasite up in the tree tops as we passes by …
Can you see the mistletoe? There were huge balls attached to many trees.
I also spied some Chicken of the Forest fungi …
And a pair of swans with their cygnets.
I couldn’t resist taking a photo of this beautiful steeple as we entered Sedan.
It took around 4 hours (including stopping at locks) to reach Sedan which appears to be quite a sizeable town. We have moored at a leisure park with a couple of hire boats within chatting distance and lots of dog walking space. We have met a nice Dutch couple and a family from New Zealand so far.
I’m a little bit concerned that Teddy’s age is catching up with him as I’ve noticed he stumbles at times and loses the strength in his back legs. His walks are now reduced to see if that helps. If not then I’ll need to find a vet.
We plan to stay here for a few days now and have a good look around.
